The locations
The classes are provided on two different locations: the main campus and the Blankenstein College Campus.

THE CAMPUS
The Meppel Campus is the most intimate of the NHL Stenden Campuses. It currently hosts only 300 students. We have students from the Netherlands, Germany and all over the world. This year, our school contains pupils and staff of over 50 different nationalities. You will often hear a variety of mixed languages in the halls and the canteen. Our multicultural staff and student body creates the perfect environment to learn about international teaching.

The architecture of the building was created with openness in mind. Glass is often used, and open spaces are valued. Students are often gathered in the halls, which are balcony of sorts looking down onto the open work space. Students are often invited to gather and work together in many quaint study areas around campus and outside.
The classes are intimate with only 20 students per lesson. Communication between staff and students is made simple and accessible. Lecturers are familiar with each student's work and an intimate relationship is founded to help each and every student succeed. This feeling extends to the community created by our student teachers, who form relationships and connections vital to their future profession.

Student life extends from the classroom. Events are often held on special occasions. We have Pub Quizzes, Halloween Parties, Onesie Days, Talent Shows, Winter Celebrations, Movie Nights and Field Trips.
